Ethiopian Coffee Certifications & Compliance
Last updated: July 2026
The certifications and compliance documentation available on Ethiopian green coffee — from organic and Fairtrade to EUDR-ready traceability — and how we help you meet your market's requirements.
We can supply Ethiopian green coffee with organic, Fairtrade and Rainforest Alliance certification where available, and provide EUDR-ready geolocation and due-diligence documentation for EU buyers. Every lot ships with full traceability — farm name, GPS, altitude and harvest date.
EUDR compliance
The EU Deforestation Regulation requires geolocation and due-diligence data for coffee placed on the EU market. We provide farm-level GPS polygons/points and documentation so EU buyers — and anyone re-exporting into the EU — can build their due-diligence statement. See our dedicated EUDR guide for detail.
Organic certification
Certified organic Ethiopian lots are available from selected cooperatives and washing stations. Much Ethiopian smallholder coffee is grown without synthetic inputs by tradition; certified-organic lots carry the formal certification your market may require.
Fairtrade & Rainforest Alliance
Fairtrade and Rainforest Alliance certified lots are available from certified cooperatives. These certifications support producer premiums and sustainability standards that many roasters and retailers now expect. Tell us your requirement and we'll source accordingly.
Traceability on every lot
Certified or not, every lot we export ships with full traceability — farm or washing-station name, GPS coordinates, altitude, region and harvest date — plus the certificate of origin, phytosanitary certificate and ICO certificate. Traceability is the foundation of both quality and compliance.
